Description We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager - Public to join our dynamic team located in Santa Ynez, California. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a variety of tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and implementing effective tax strategies for both individual and corporate clients. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate tax records, preparing complex tax returns, and providing insightful advice to clients on tax-efficient strategies to reduce liabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage tax compliance and planning activities, ensuring adherence to tax laws.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and estates.
• Offer expert advice to clients on tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Conduct comprehensive tax research to stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations.
• Supervise and guide a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Manage and maintain accurate tax records for all clients.
• Apply skills in preparing and reviewing Partnership Tax Returns.
• Utilize expertise in handling Individual, Corporate, and Estate Tax Returns.
• Develop and optimize tax strategies for both individual and corporate clients. Requirements • Possess strong expertise in preparing and reviewing Estate Tax Returns
• Proficient in handling Corporate Tax Returns
• Demonstrated experience in managing Individual Tax Returns
• Have substantial knowledge and hands-on experience with Partnership Tax Returns
• Ability to interpret and comply with tax regulations
• Prior experience in a public tax manager role is desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with tax software and other related computer applications
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
• Must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in public accounting, specifically in tax
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
