Tax Manager - Public
Description We are seeking a Tax Manager - Public in the manufacturing industry, located in San Antonio, Texas, 78222, United States. The role involves managing tax compliance for various entities, collaborating with multiple departments, and assisting with tax consulting projects. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the efficient and accurate processing of tax compliance for family and operating entities, liaising with relevant third parties when necessary • Support the Director of Tax in the management of various tax consulting projects • Ensure the smooth flow of tax information to guarantee the accurate, comprehensive, and timely preparation and delivery of all entity and individual tax returns • Assist with federal and state tax examinations and audit defense as required • Maintain knowledge of general economic and political trends that could impact tax or other legislation affecting the business climate • Work with third-party tax advisors and legal counsel, as well as company executives, on specific tax issues and questions • Conduct technical tax reviews of certain tax returns, which are prepared by third parties • Undertake financial reviews and work paper preparation for tax returns, including manipulating financial information for tax purposes • Maintain and model quarterly and yearly projections for various family members, company executives, and taxable entities • Adhere to all applicable safety policies and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards • Utilize strong project management skills and knowledge of project management software • Exhibit proficiency with Office products, advanced Excel skills, and accounting software systems • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization • Handle large amounts of data and high volume of transactions, while maintaining exceptional business acumen and attention to detail and accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Ability to manage Annual Income Tax Provision • Skilled in Auditing procedures and practices • Demonstrated expertise in Compliance matters • Familiarity with Entity Formation processes • Knowledge of Sales Tax regulations and filing procedures • Experience with Estate Tax calculations and filings • Proficiency in managing State Tax obligations • Expertise in handling Multi-state Tax issues • Experience in preparing Multi-state Tax Returns • Knowledge of Real Estate Tax obligations and procedures • Ability to prepare and file Estate Tax Returns Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
