Job Duties and Qualifications + Under broad direction, manages US indirect taxes to include sales & use tax, unclaimed property and severance tax on a multi-state basis across multiple legal entities + Responsible for audit defense / controversy strategies, including audit design, technical research, audit workpaper review and audit appeals + Directly manage sales/use tax compliance team + Responsible for tax technical research/analysis to support tax positions taken + Special Projects + M&A transaction support + Systems experience including SAP/Vertex preferred + CCH/RIA or similar research tool experience required + Responsible for mentoring, career development and coaching of personnel + Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, verbal and written communication skills + Ability to work effectively in larger SALT team environment + Requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or related field and 7+ years of US indirect tax experience + Applicable professional certification preferred + Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirement will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
