Description The Tax Preparer will be responsible for accurately preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses. This professional will utilize their understanding of relevant tax laws and software tools to ensure the best tax strategy for each client. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Job Responsibilities: + Accurately prepare and submit federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. + Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenses. + Identify potential tax credits and liabilities to ensure accurate tax returns. + Communicate with clients to explain tax strategies and answer queries. + Update clients on status of their tax returns, refunds, and potential audit risks. + Stay current with latest tax regulations and translate these into effective tax strategies for various client scenarios. + Ensure strict confidentiality of all client data and adhere to data security norms. + Develop strategies that are beneficial to clients in terms of tax liabilities. + Assist clients in setting up payment plans for taxes. Requirements Job Requirements: + Proven work experience as a Tax Preparer. + Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and codes. + Familiarity with tax preparation software and online platforms. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particular expertise in Excel. + Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. + Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines. + Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
