Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the Wealth Management industry, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves preparing individual income taxes for high net worth clients and handling small business/fiduciary tax returns. The position allows for a hybrid working arrangement, with 1-2 days per week remote work. Responsibilities: • Prepare individual income taxes for high net worth clients. • Handle small business/fiduciary tax returns. • Assemble files for partner review. • Manage client financial information. • Complete and invoice for form preparation fees. • Link legitimate data into tax software program. • Formulate transaction tax returns manually utilizing various methods with various government agencies. • Utilize Excel and Lacerte/Intuit software programs. • Prepare 1041 forms for schedule C/E returns. • Monitor client accounts and take appropriate action. Requirements • Proven experience as a Tax Preparer in the Wealth Management industry • Extensive knowledge of individual tax preparation and filing • Proficiency in fiduciary tax, specifically Trust & Estate tax • Familiarity with corporate tax return preparation and filing • Experience in individual tax return preparation and filing • Proficiency in using tax preparation software, specifically Intuit Lacerte • Excellent understanding of tax regulations and laws • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
