Tax Preparer
Description We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our team in Los Alamitos, California. As a member of our CPA firm, you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to tax preparation, customer service, and data entry. This role encompasses the use of different accounting software systems and requires a person who is willing to work flexible hours during the tax season. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file tax returns for clients using various accounting software systems • Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate records • Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues • Utilize ADP - Financial Services and CCH ProSystem Fx for client accounts management • Handle the allowances and deductibles in the tax process • Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and Intuit Lacerte for tax preparation • Execute various accounting functions as required • Ensure all the data entered in the system is accurate and up-to-date • Adapt to different working hours during the tax season • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Please reference job order number 00460-0013048792. email resume to david.bizub@roberthalf.c0m Requirements • Holds a minimum of 10 years of experience in a CPA firm or similar setting • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services • Extensive experience with CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Drake Tax Software • Knowledgeable in various accounting functions and allowances • Excellent customer service skills • Demonstrable experience in data entry • Familiarity with deductible calculations • Experience with Lacerte Tax Software and Intuit Lacerte is preferred • Able to work effectively in a team and independently • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred • Current and valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
