Description We are hiring a Tax Preparer to operate in the Financial Services industry, based in Mill Creek, Washington. The role will involve the careful handling of clients' financial data to correctly calculate tax liabilities, using tax preparation software. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Organize and manage client tax documents, including income statements, expenditures, investments, and other financial records. • Use Lacerte Tax Software to determine taxes owed or overpaid by clients. • Process and prepare individual and business tax returns. • Review client financial statements in detail to accurately calculate tax liability. • Monitor and update tax records regularly. • Handle client inquiries related to tax preparation and provide appropriate responses. • Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in tax preparation and record maintenance. Requirements • Prior experience in the financial services industry is essential, preferably with a minimum of one year in a tax preparation role. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems is required. • Demonstrated knowledge of various accounting functions is necessary. • Familiarity with allowances and how they impact tax liabilities is important. • Experience with Lacerte Tax Software is desirable. • Ability to accurately complete various tax forms is essential. • Proven track record in tax preparation is a must.
