Description We are in search of a Tax Preparer to become a part of our team in Durand, Michigan. In this role, you will be expected to handle tasks ranging from processing data entries to preparing tax returns, all while ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses. • Use appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to minimize clients' tax obligations. • Review client financial records, income statements, and expenditure documentation to identify the forms required for tax return preparation. • Conduct client interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial situation and resolve any inconsistencies in tax data. • Comply with tax laws to fulfill legal requirements and ensure reduced tax liabilities. • Leverage your proficiency with partnership and S Corporation tax returns. • Handle customer service inquiries and maintain accurate customer records. • Utilize accounting software systems and tax preparation software effectively. • Manage customer accounts and take necessary actions when required. • Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy while working under pressure.
