Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in. You will be an integral part of our team, working in-office to prepare individual tax returns. Your proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software will be crucial to your success in this role. Responsibilities: • Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to prepare tax returns accurately • Communicate clearly with clients to collect missing information • Follow up with clients in a timely manner to ensure all necessary information is obtained • Work collaboratively with the team to manage workload and meet deadlines • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times • Carry out other tax-related tasks as required, adhering to all company policies and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in preparing Individual Tax Returns • Extensive knowledge and experience with Lacerte Tax Software • Must possess strong numerical and analytical skills • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes • Ability to research and resolve tax-related issues efficiently • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with clients effectively • Capacity to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) credentials are highly desirable • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
