Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is completely on site and based in a small office environment alongside a team of three accountants. The position is within the financial services industry, specifically focusing on individual tax preparation. Responsibilities: • Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax for efficient tax preparation. • Prepare individual tax returns, paying special attention to details such as allowances and deductibles. • Handle Schedule C and rental property related tax matters. • Ensure high quality customer service by resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner. • Maintain accurate records of customer data and tax files. • Use Drake Tax Software and Intuit Lacerte for specific tax related tasks. • Perform other accounting functions as necessary. • Continually update knowledge on individual tax laws and regulations. • Ensure a smooth workflow within the office by maintaining a stress-free and lighthearted work environment. • Maintain a detail oriented dress code, adhering to business casual attire. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Hands-on experience with ADP - Financial Services • Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax • Knowledge of Drake Tax Software • Ability to perform Accounting Functions accurately • Understanding of Allowances in tax preparation • Excellent Customer Service skills • Efficient and accurate Data Entry abilities • Knowledge of Deductible in tax context • Experience with Lacerte Tax Software and Intuit Lacerte • Capable of preparing Individual Tax Return • Specialization in Tax - Individual Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
