Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in PALOS HEIGHTS, Illinois, United States. The individual will be joining our team in the Financial Services industry. The role requires proficiency in tax preparation, corporate tax return, and the use of Lacerte Tax Software. Responsibilities: • Utilize Lacerte Tax Software for various tax-related tasks • Prepare tax returns, with a focus on 1040's Individual, Corporate, S-Corp, Partnership, Trust • Perform Compilation Work, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date • Operate independently, demonstrating the ability to manage tasks without constant supervision • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Ensure all processed customer credit applications are accurate and efficient • Maintain accurate and detailed customer credit records • Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations to provide accurate information to customers. The salary range for this position is $25/hr. to $25/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field • Previous experience in a tax preparer role or similar is required • Proficiency with Lacerte Tax Software is essential • Expertise in income tax preparation and corporate tax return is necessary • Strong understanding of financial services industry rules and regulations • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Must be detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines • Strong knowledge of tax codes, compliance and procedures • Good mathematical and computational abilities • Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
