Description We are in search of a meticulous Tax Preparer to join our team in the Services industry. This role is based in ROCKVILLE CENTRE, New York, United States. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing individual tax returns and using Lacerte Tax Software. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file individual tax returns accurately and in a timely manner • Utilize Lacerte Tax Software for tax preparation, when necessary • Ensure all tax documents and data are properly organized and stored • Address client inquiries related to their individual tax returns • Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations • Work flexibly, adjusting to client needs and workload • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information • Deliver high-quality work consistently, demonstrating strong focus on details • Continually enhance tax preparation skills and knowledge • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure client satisfaction. Requirements • Proficient in preparing Individual Tax Returns • Experience with Lacerte Tax Software • Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Strong mathematical and analytical skills • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred • Previous experience in a tax preparation role is essential • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is advantageous • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
