Description We are currently seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to assist our clients in navigating all aspects of tax planning and return preparation. Using established procedures, the tax preparer will collect necessary documentation, perform calculations, complete tax returns, and handle related paperwork. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax preparation, be tech-savvy, and proficient in QuickBooks. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare individual and business tax returns with precision and timeliness. + Utilize QuickBooks for clients' bookkeeping needs and for tax return preparation. + Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations. + Interpret tax law provisions for clients and advise them on tax related issues. + Communicate effectively with clients to collect all necessary information to complete tax returns. + Maintain the confidentiality of client information. + Remain up-to-date with industry standards, current tax laws, and relevant software updates. Requirements Qualifications: + At least 3-years of experience in tax preparation. + Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must. + Exceptional knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. + Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records. + Strong newcomer and multitasking abilities. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
