Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to provide quick resolutions for client inquiries and tax matters. In this role, you will maintain relationships with clients and contacts, and handle tax filings for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations. During the busy season, you may be expected to work 60 to 70 hours if needed.
ResponsibilitiesProvide quick resolutions for client inquiries or tax-related issues.Maintain relationships with clients and contacts.Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations.Work extended hours during the busy season if necessary.Essential Skills1+ years of tax experience.Experience with individual tax returns (1040).Knowledge of GAAP, including profit and loss statements.Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.Oregon Tax Preparer Certificate is a must.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree preferred.Experience with Lacerte Tax or any other tax software.Experience with bookkeeping or accounting.Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.Personable and professional demeanor.Attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Work Environment
Our team is hard-working and client service-focused, with a strong emphasis on collaboration. Although the team is separated across three offices, members frequently collaborate to ensure client satisfaction. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible hours to accommodate personal needs such as childcare. Employees accrue 40 hours of sick leave annually and enjoy 9 billable holidays. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive work environment where team members can rely on each other to meet client needs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46
