Description We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our expanding team in Foster City, California. Our Tax Preparer will play a crucial role in reviewing a diverse range of tax returns from partnerships to individuals, and communicating with clients to resolve their inquiries. This role provides a unique opportunity for a long-term contract in the tax consulting industry. Responsibilities • Review and prepare various types of tax returns, including individual and partnership. • Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and Ultra Tax for tax return preparation. • Engage directly with clients to address and resolve their tax-related inquiries. • Foster a positive team environment and work collaboratively with colleagues. • Ensure all customer records are accurately and efficiently maintained. • Uphold excellent communication standards when interacting with clients. • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit in managing tax-related tasks. • Adhere to the office presence policy, with the flexibility to work from home on certain days. Requirements • Proficient in preparing Corporate Tax Returns • Competent in preparing Individual Tax Returns • Demonstrated experience with Ultra Tax software • Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software • Strong understanding of tax regulations and laws • Excellent numerical and analytical skills • Ability to work under pressure during tax season • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple clients and deadlines • Strong communication skills to explain tax processes to clients • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax preparation • Excellent problem-solving skills to address tax issues • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus • Previous experience in a tax consulting firm is advantageous Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
