Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial sector, specifically looking for a Tax Preparer to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role, you will be required to handle various responsibilities related to the preparation of individual tax returns. Responsibilities: • Examination of financial records to ensure accuracy of tax returns • Preparation of thorough and precise individual tax returns • Utilization of tax preparation software for the efficient completion of tasks • Collaborating with clients to gather necessary information for tax return preparation • Assisting clients in understanding and meeting their tax obligations • Providing guidance on potential tax credits and deductions to optimize client returns • Keeping up to date with latest tax regulations to ensure compliance in tax return preparation • Rectifying any tax return errors and making necessary amendments. Requirements • Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns • Demonstrable experience in tax return preparation • Strong numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail • Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations • Ability to interpret and apply tax legislation • Prior experience with tax software and databases • Excellent time management skills • Ability to handle confidential information • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field • Certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
