Description Robert Half is seeking a Tax Preparer for our client based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a Tax Preparer, your primary role will be to handle various accounting functions, provide exceptional customer service, and proficiently use accounting software systems. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry. Responsibilities: • Utilize various accounting software systems to manage and process financial data • Handle customer inquiries about allowances and deductions in a detail-oriented manner • Accurately input financial data into ADP and other related systems • Stay updated with the latest changes in tax laws and regulations • Effectively use CCH ProSystem fx and CCH Sales Tax for tax preparation tasks • Provide excellent customer service by resolving client issues promptly and accurately • Ensure all data entry tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner • Utilize Drake Tax Software for preparing and filing taxes • Keep accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions • Continually monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must for efficient execution of tasks • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required to facilitate smooth financial operations • Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx is necessary for successful task completion • Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax is required for accurate tax calculations • Ability to utilize Drake Tax Software effectively is essential • Understanding of various Accounting Functions is a must for this role • Knowledge of Allowances and their implications on tax preparation is necessary • Excellent Customer Service skills are required to ensure client satisfaction • Proficiency in Data Entry is needed for accurate and efficient record-keeping • Understanding of Deductibles and their impact on taxation is essential Robert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
