Description We are offering a short term contract role for a Tax Preparer in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. The selected individual will join a dynamic team, operating in a fast-paced, high-volume setting where meticulousness is key. Responsibilities: • Use the Drake Tax Software for processing various tax returns, including personal and business. • Manage complex tax returns with proficiency, including partnership tax and 1040s. • Ensure precise and efficient processing of customer tax applications. • Oversee and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary. • Address customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner. • Stay informed about tax regulations and laws, applying them appropriately in tax preparation. • Uphold the confidentiality of all customer information and documents. • Collaborate in a team to handle the high volume of customers, ensuring all tax preparations are completed accurately and on time. • Support with additional tax-related tasks as needed. Requirements • The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the role of a Tax Preparer. • Proficiency in handling complex tax returns is a mandatory requirement for this role. • The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of Drake Tax Software, as this will be a primary tool used in their daily tasks. • Experience in partnership tax is essential, as the role will involve working closely with various partners. • The applicant should possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy in their work. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required due to the nature of the role. • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is a must. • The candidate should have a good understanding of tax laws and regulations. • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification will be viewed favorably.
