Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the heart of New York. In this role, you will work closely with the Tax & Accounting Teams, processing personal and corporate returns, as well as business returns. You will also be responsible for data entry of tax information and ensuring the accuracy of sensitive financial information. This role requires travel between two office locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Enter tax information into Lacerte, ensuring accuracy and security of sensitive financial data • Process personal, corporate, and business returns, coordinating with the Accounting team as needed • Gather and organize required tax documents, including W2, Tax Forms, and 1099s • Familiarize yourself with and effectively use Lacerte Tax Software and QuickBooks for Accounting tasks • Travel between office locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn as necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Tax Preparer • Proficient in Lacerte Tax Software • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel • Experience in preparing Corporate Tax Returns • Experience in preparing Individual Tax Returns • Knowledge of S-Corps tax preparation • Familiarity with W2 tax forms • Ability to handle various Tax Forms • Experience with Form 1099 • Able to interpret and apply current tax laws and regulations • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
