Description Job Summary: A client of ours is in the Conroe area is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to help with the influx of work during tax season. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of personal and business tax experience who is comfortable working on a variety of tax returns, including individual, small business, S-Corp, C-Corp, and partnerships. Experience working in a CPA firm would be highly preferred. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven position, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and manage a diverse set of tasks. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, S-Corp, C-Corp, and partnerships + Analyze trial balances and perform heavy reconciliations + Handle sales and use tax compliance and filings + Assist with cleanup projects and data entry + Clean up balance sheets in QuickBooks Online + Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail while meeting deadlines + Communicate effectively with clients, answering any questions or clarifying information as needed Requirements Qualifications: + 5+ years of experience in tax preparation (both personal and business) + Strong working knowledge of tax laws and regulations + Experience with Drake, Tax Dome, and QuickBooks Online (particularly with cleanup of balance sheets) + Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy environment + Ability to work independently and as part of a small team + Must be deadline-driven, friendly, and able to interact with clients in a professional manner Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
