Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Reston, Virginia. The role involves working in the industry, focusing on individual and corporate tax returns. The workplace can flex on hybrid, offering a blend of in-office and remote work. Responsibilities • Attend to individual tax returns, ensuring all data is accurate and complete. • Handle corporate tax returns, paying attention to detail and adhering to tax laws and guidelines. • Utilize Accounting Software Systems to streamline tax preparation and submission processes. • Execute data entry tasks, inputting relevant tax information into Intuit ProSeries and other necessary platforms. • Provide excellent customer service, resolving client inquiries and concerns in a timely and detail oriented manner. • Coordinate with the team for final review and submittal of tax returns. • Leverage Microsoft Office to maintain and organize client records. • Monitor client accounts and perform necessary accounting functions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Tax Preparer role or similar • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Solid understanding of Accounting Functions • Excellent Customer Service skills • Experience in Data Entry related to tax preparation • Knowledge in preparing Individual Tax Return • Experience in preparing Corporate Tax Return • Proficiency in using Intuit ProSeries software • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
