Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer, situated in Hamilton, New Jersey. This role, depending on the candidate, can be performed either entirely remotely or in a hybrid model. The Tax Preparer will be an integral part of our team, responsible for handling individual tax returns and maintaining precise records. Responsibilities: • Ensure effective and efficient data entry of client information for federal and state tax returns • Maintain regular communication with the manager regarding the status of assigned clients • Scan and securely store client documents into the firm's database • Manage accounting functions with a high level of accuracy • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving customer inquiries • Promptly communicate any outstanding client documents to the manager • Maintain an understanding of individual tax documents • Ensure that all client information is processed accurately and efficiently • Independently monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required. Requirements • Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software for efficient tax preparation. • Solid understanding and ability to perform various accounting functions. • Strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction and retention. • Excellent data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and speed in entering client information. • Extensive experience in preparing individual tax returns, adhering to federal and state tax laws.
