Description We are inviting applications for the position of Tax Preparer to join our team located in Burleson, Texas. This role operates within the accounting industry, with a focus on tax preparation and compliance. You will be part of a detail-oriented workplace, offering a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately process individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations • Conduct financial reconciliations, aligning year-end accounting entries with tax filings • Recognize and apply relevant business deductions, depreciation, and amortization • Stay updated with IRS and state tax code changes, ensuring all filings comply with current regulations • Engage with clients to obtain necessary documents, resolve discrepancies, and provide guidance on tax filings • Escalate complex or high-value transactions for review by management • Utilize accounting software systems and Drake Tax Software to perform all accounting functions effectively.
