Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the detail-oriented Services industry, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Tax Preparer, you will be in charge of handling individual tax cases, and using the Ultratax CS software to provide efficient services. Responsibilities: • Prepare individual tax returns using Ultratax CS software • Ensure accurate processing and recording of tax data • Respond to inquiries related to individual tax preparation • Monitor and manage individual tax cases for resolution • Maintain and update customer records in the tax system • Utilize Ultratax CS for efficient tax preparation and management • Handle customer accounts and take necessary action in case of discrepancies • Resolve customer inquiries related to tax preparation and filing • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations during preparation. Requirements • Proficiency in tax preparation, specifically in individual tax returns • Exceptional knowledge of federal and state tax laws • Familiarity with tax software, particularly Ultratax CS • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax calculations and filings • Strong numerical skills for calculating complex tax data • Demonstrable experience in the detail-oriented Services industry • Ability to interpret and apply latest tax regulations • Strong communication skills to explain tax-related issues to clients • Ability to meet strict deadlines, especially during tax season • Ethical behavior with the ability to handle confidential information • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is highly desirable.
