Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Oxnard, California. This role involves a multitude of tasks within the accounting industry, which includes preparing federal and state tax returns for various entities such as corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profit organizations. Responsibilities: • Accurately handle the preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and not-for-profit organizations. • Stay abreast with the latest tax and accounting codes to ensure compliance. • Utilize tax software, specifically CCH ProSystem Fx, to streamline tax preparation process. • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high levels of integrity when dealing with sensitive financial information. • Regularly update and maintain tax records for all clients. • Actively contribute towards the growth and advancement of the team by taking on challenging projects. • Leverage Microsoft Office suite to manage, organize, and present data effectively. • Resolve any tax-related inquiries from clients promptly and professionally. Requirements • Proficient in utilizing CCH ProSystem Fx software for tax-related tasks. • Demonstrated experience in tax preparation for both individuals and businesses. • Must possess previous working experience as a Tax Preparer. • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately compile and verify tax data. • Excellent understanding of tax regulations and laws. • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and tax authorities. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Capable of meeting tight deadlines during peak tax seasons. • Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheets for calculation and reporting purposes. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) is a plus. • Strong problem-solving skills to address any tax-related challenges or discrepancies. • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to clients. • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
