Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Tax Preparer for a two-month project located in Reading, PA. This position will begin as part-time and transition as the project progresses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax preparation processes, attention to detail, and excellent time management skills to ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately prepare and file individual 1040s tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. + Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures, to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns. + Conduct thorough interviews with clients to collect necessary tax information. + Ensure timely and error-free submission of tax forms and documentation. + Address client questions or concerns related to tax returns, clarifying any regulatory changes or updates relevant to their situation. + Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations, particularly those impacting 1040s, 990s, and 1065s, to ensure compliance. + Collaborate with team members to manage workload and deadlines as the project scales to full-time hours.
