Description Our company, operating in the CPA industry, is seeking a Tax Preparer. The successful candidate will be expected to effectively use the CCH Prosystem, scan documents, and possess a basic knowledge of individual tax returns for California. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Employ CCH Prosystem for various tasks • Scan and organize files for tax returns accurately • Ensure correct data entry into Prosystems • Develop a comprehensive understanding of individual tax returns specific to California • Uphold a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all tasks • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action • Address customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner • Keep customer credit records current and accurate • Handle customer credit applications with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role. • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in using CCH Prosystem is mandatory. • Ability to accurately scan documents and maintain a systematic record of the same. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. • Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or be working towards obtaining one. • Excellent knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures. • Strong mathematical and analytical skills are necessary. • Proficiency in using tax preparation software and other financial systems. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. • Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling client information. • Willingness to stay updated with the latest tax regulations and laws. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
