Tax Reporting Manager at a Glance….
The Tax Reporting Manager position provides an opportunity to be involved with income tax provisions, earnings and cash flow forecasts, tax accounting research, various business initiatives and process improvements. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to continue to strengthen their skills in accounting for income taxes and work with various areas of Finance including the Global Controllership, Forecast Planning and Analysis, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations, External Reporting, Treasury and the Corporate Mergers & Acquisition teams.
What’s on the menu?
The Tax Reporting Manager will provide technical expertise in tax accounting matters and perform tax provisioning in assigned areas by obtaining pertinent data, financials or business facts and analyzing for proper tax accounting treatment. Will contribute to ensuring the delivery of complete and accurate tax provisioning calculations, including income tax expense, deferred taxes, valuation allowances, current taxes payable and uncertain tax position reserves including:
Develop and support the tax amounts in the US GAAP audited financial results reported quarterly to the SEC Work with tax colleagues to develop effective tax rate reconciliations and tax cash-flow forecasts for management, identifying known or expected changes in tax legislation, tax audits and projected book/tax differences Update and maintain the Company's detailed inventory of deferred tax assets and liabilities, valuation allowances and uncertain tax position reserves Manage global tax automation projects and process improvements Review and substantiation of the income taxes payable accounts Tax function SOX controls and testing Manage the income tax accounting team to meet required deadlines, train and develop staff members, and prepare/review ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions Become proficient using the Company's tax provisioning software (OneSource Tax Provision)Recipe for Success – apply now if this sounds like you!
Technical expertise in tax accounting matters, demonstrated by a minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant tax experience preparing and reviewing US GAAP income tax provisions 5 years of experience in tax provisioning interaction between outside auditors and in-house team required (experience can be from working either on the CPA firm side, or on the client/industry side of US GAAP audits) Bachelor's degree required Master's degree in Taxation strongly preferred; CPA required Strong written and verbal skills required Ability to multi-task and prioritize in complex situations with tight deadlines required Ability to work on a team and demonstrate flexibility with assignments required Strong working understanding of financial statements required Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 key controls related to accounting for income taxes Ability to challenge tax colleagues on technical matters and support positions taken based on tax knowledge and application of ASC 740 accounting rules to the relevant facts and circumstances is required Experience in US corporate tax compliance, state taxation and tax audits required Working knowledge of tax law in key international jurisdictions Prior experience using tax provisioning software preferredOur Total Rewards philosophy is to provide a meaningful and flexible spectrum of programs that equitably support our diverse workforce and their families and complement Kraft Heinz’ strategy and values.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
