The Role

Senior Associates with our State & Local Tax (SALT) consulting practice will engage in the tax planning and consulting process for a variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to venture backed startups, pass through entities and high net worth individuals.

Senior Associates can expect to:

Provide tax controversy audit support;Assist in project management of compliance/consulting engagements and identify client solutions;Conduct research to remain current with legislative changes;Draft and review memoranda and additional client deliverables;Prepare and review Nexus Studies, Sourcing Studies and other state and local tax studies; and/or Receive formal State & Local tax training, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources. The Requirements 2+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm;Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred);Advanced degree– JD, LLM, MST, LLM (Preferred)Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD);Leadership and organizational skills;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural facilitator;Strong research and writing capabilities;Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; andFamiliarity with MS Excel.
