Work you will do:
Collaborate with US and global payroll leadersImplement and manage payroll software for US payroll operations, including interfacesSupport recruitment and development activities of team membersMaintain end to end payroll processesTrain team members on payroll systems and processesLead client implementations, including interfaces, user acceptance testing, etc.Lead risk management and mitigation strategies for US payroll operationsEmbed automation opportunities into existing payroll processesMaintain the operations management approach for payroll engagementsCreate pricing models for US payroll operate engagementsLead market activities for US payroll operate opportunitiesOversee delivery of payroll operations to a wide range of clients, ensuring that critical milestones and deadlines are met, and quality standards are adhered toManage client relationshipsPromote business growth through targeting and selling new or add on services to clients and targets as well as identifying opportunities to cross sell related GES servicesCollaborate with tax compliance teams delivering payroll compliance tax reporting for payroll operate engagementsCollaborate with client engagement leaders to address budgeting, billing, management, and talent deploymentWork with the strategy lead to drive innovation and automation to continuously evolve the offeringThe Team

Qualifications
Required
Ability to perform job responsibilities within in a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week8+ years of experience in Payroll Management, Employment Tax, and/or a related field, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilityBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldOne of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPAIf not CPA eligible:Enrolled AgentCertified Payroll Professional (CPP)Project Management Professional (PMP)Other approved accreditationAbility to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Preferred
Master’s Degree or equivalentExperience managing people and client interactionsExperience with managing payroll vendors and systemExperience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint Strong analytical, consultative, quantitative, and project management skillsStrong communication (verbal & written) and presentation skillsAttention to detail with a focus on quality; deadline and results-drivenCapable of working within large, complex engagements and able to work efficiently and with a sense of urgencyAn aptitude for working as part of a global team with diverse membersLeadership skills in managing client relationships and the ability to develop customized solutions to meet client needs with the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage assignments in a team environmentThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,740 to $299,910.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
