Tax Specialist
Description Robert Half is seeking a Tax Specialist to support tax compliance for our dynamic client located in Philadelphia. In this Tax Specialist role, you will play a critical part in ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations while contributing to the organization's financial integrity and value-driven services. As part of the tax team, you will manage various tax-related responsibilities, including preparing and filing tax returns, providing strategic tax advice to leadership, and overseeing tax audits. Responsibilities: + Utilizing technology in the accurate preparation and submission of quarterly and annual tax provisions + Advising leadership teams through proficient tax accounting knowledge + Analyzing complex transactions to secure appropriate tax treatment + Responding to tax audits, inquiries, and notices from tax authorities + Conducting technical tax research to stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations + Preparing and understanding local Transfer Pricing reports for the US and Canada + Maintaining documentation and supporting records related to tax filings, provisions, and other tax-related activities + Using Microsoft Excel, Ad Hoc Reporting, Corporate Income Tax, Corporate Tax Compliance, ASC 740, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, and Tax Accounting for various tasks and responsibilities Requirements The ideal Tax Specialist candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred. Other requirements for the Tax Specialist position include and are not limited to: + 5 years of experience in tax, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. + Strong technology skills; Advanced Excel user and other data analytics tools, Alteryx, Power BI, etc. + Experience working with SAP and experience working with tax software such as Longview, Vertex or similar preferred. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
