Description Robert Half is partnering with a great, local firm in search of a Tax Staff/Senior Accountant to join their team! This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 1-4+ years of accounting experience to join a great firm that offers full benefits and flexibility. Requirements Responsibilities: + Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. + Assist in the development of tax planning strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities. + Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax compliance matters. + Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure timely completion of tax filings. + Mentor and train junior staff accountants, providing guidance and support in their professional development. + Stay updated on tax regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance and advising clients accordingly. + Assist with audit support and other accounting services as needed. + Participate in client meetings and present tax strategies and findings effectively. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or actively pursuing CPA designation preferred. + Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a CPA firm. + Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members. + Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
