Tax Transaction Advisory Services - US Tax Staff_Mumbai

Location: Mumbai

Role:  US Tax Staff

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

·       Develop US tax information requests for tax due diligence.

·       Managing the flow of information within a narrow timeframe

·       Perform a comprehensive review of historical income tax (both federal and state) and non-income tax (i.e., payroll tax, property tax, gross receipt tax, sales & use tax and unclaimed property) compliance and identifying any tax exposures.

·       Drafting tax due diligence reports as they pertain to US taxes for C corporation, S corporation and LLCs including addressing senior level review comments.

·       Participating in tax due diligence calls with the internal tax team and clients including preparing the call agenda and taking call notes.

·       Work closely with other due diligence streams (e.g., financial) to support strong outcomes for our clients.

·       Evaluate the potential tax benefits of using various acquisition structures (i.e., legal entity structure analysis, modeling the anticipated tax benefits of the contemplated transaction etc.)

·       Researching US tax topics when necessary for client engagements and/or for internal Firm purposes

·       Researching US tax topics for internal Firm purposes

·       Writing US tax alerts for both internal and external use

·       Assisting with internal tax education function

The qualifications.

Minimum of 1 year of experience with US taxes Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance or Law is required.CA, CPA, or EA is preferred.Must be fluent in English, written and verbal. MS Office experience required. Strong analytical skills Must be flexible with work hours if required. Presentation Skills, Written Communication, Technical Documentation, Problem Solving, Deadline-Oriented, Process Improvement, Coordination
