Job Description:
The Colleague Engagement team, within the broader TD Insurance Transformation and Shared Services team, is accountable for designing, implementing, and overseeing the Legendary colleague engagement strategy for TD Insurance. Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Engagement, the Communications Intern will have the opportunity to support a variety of communications and engagement initiatives and work-plans as assigned.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Assist Communications Managers, extended Colleague Engagement team, and respective business partners by supporting project plans to enable communication strategies
Assist with building and reviewing internal communications processes, tools, presentations, and other related materials
Curate editorial calendars and write content for colleague blogs
Collaborate with internal teams to assist in the creation and management of internal communication channels
Copy editing to ensure the use of clear language relevant to the intended audience and the message aligns to key business priorities
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of internal communication channels and develop data driven recommendations to improve outcomes
Leverage both traditional and emerging communications vehicles to drive colleague engagement
Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
Job Requirements:
Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
Entry Level position, no work experience required
Strong writer with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal
Highly motivated individual with proven track record of achieving results
Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Flexible team player who is able to quickly adapt to change
Self-motivated, team player with high energy and ability to work independently
Strong relationship building skills with an ability to impact and influence at all levels
Desktop publishing skills
Videography and photography skills
Project Management skills
Attention to detail
Understanding of the Insurance business would be an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset

This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 5th – August 29th, 2025.
