Job Description:

The TDI Data Governance department is dedicated to ensuring the effective management and quality of organizational data to drive strategic decision making and compliance. We are seeking a technology driven, detail-oriented and results-driven individual who excels at producing high-quality deliverables. These qualities are essential as you will play a key role in supporting our data governance initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all aspects of our work.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Assist in documenting and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and frameworks.Support data committees, preparing documentation and summaries of topics discussed as well as follow ups.Conduct thorough reviews of data-related materials to ensure quality and compliance with organizational standards.Support data assessments by analyzing datasets, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data processes and implement governance best practices.Contribute to communication and educational initiatives, creating materials and resources to drive stakeholder awareness and adherence to governance principles.Create reports where required to understanding and communicate trends and performance.   This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact TD's success in data compliance and support our data governance strategy.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related fieldMust be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)Any Certificate/degree in computer science, data management or in any other related field.Relevant experience in business analysis or business intelligence.Experience in data analysis, reporting and technology security.Analytical skills and possess a critical faculty and an ability to synthesize information (written and oral).Excellent written and verbal communication skills must be comfortable to lead meetings and present to stakeholders. Spoken/written French is a strong asset.A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsProject coordination experience considered an asset.Knowledge of programming language and databases would be strong asset.Proficient in Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and any other reporting analysis, and collaboration Tools (Jira, Confluence).
