The Teacher position provides special education in a highly structured and safe environment to adolescent students in residential treatment for behavioral disorders. Responsibilities include:

Assessing each youth's social, educational and emotional needs, and intervening therapeutically to promote learning and positive peer and adult interactions. Completing lesson plans, IEPs, report cards, Behavior Scales, and quarterly progress reports on established schedules. Participation with a team of professionals, including other teachers, parents/guardians, therapist, and psychologist to review progress, and to develop/implement appropriate education plans.

This is a twelve-month position.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Education with Special Education concentration required.  Must be classified as Highly Qualified in a specific area(s). Georgia Teaching Certificate required. Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills. Must possess a valid driver's license Must be at least 21 years of age.
