Teacher Aide Brookville Ed Center location

Mon-Fri 8:30a-3:30p Full Time 32.5 hours per week

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED and college credits in early childhood are required; NYS Teacher Assistant Certification-(ATAS) within six months of hire date. State Central Registry Clearance; Workshop- School Violence Intervention and Prevention. Good communication skills and a demonstrated willingness and aptitude working for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist the assigned teacher as requested in all areas of the daily classroom routine. Assist the children as requested by the teacher; maintain health and safety of the classroom environment by performing assigned tasks. May be required to attend evening meetings. Prepare classroom materials as requested by teacher.
