Teacher Aide New Hyde Park location Mon-Fri 8-3:30p Full Time 35 hours per week

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED and college credits in early childhood are required NYS Teacher Assistant Certification-(ATAS) within six months of hire date State Central Registry Clearance; Workshop- School Violence Intervention and Prevention Good communication skills and a demonstrated willingness and aptitude for supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist the assigned teacher as requested in all areas of the daily classroom routine Assist the children as requested by the teacher; maintain health and safety of the classroom environment by performing assigned tasks.  Prepare classroom materials as requested by teacher.

May be required to attend evening meetings.
