Responsibilities

Position Details:

To provide instruction to preschool age children within the classroom setting.  The Teacher is instructional in shaping the child’s relationship with himself, others and the world. 

 

 

Responsibilities:                                                         

Prepare and implement lesson plans by facilitating the classroom activities and experiences.Maintain classroom records/conduct on-going assessment on every child.Complete all required reports and assessments in a timely and professional manner.Partner with family members to encourage student proficiency in the five preschool domains (Cognitive; Language; Social/Emotional; Physical and Adaptive)Assist preschoolers to develop through a wide variety of play options.Model consistent expectations and behaviors.Encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills.Guide in the acquisition of social skills that are practical and relevant to a preschool age child.Implement positive behavioral interventions.

 

Qualifications New York State Certification in Early childhood/Elementary EducationMaster's in Special Education (Students with Disabilities)
