SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
· Assist students individually or in small groups academically.
· Supervise students.
· Work with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
· Arrange with classroom teachers to collect student assignments.
· Enforce classroom values.
· Responsible for assisting with classroom behavior.
· Assist in crisis intervention for students.
· Responsible to record information behavior on ABC sheets.
· Complete the following reports when necessary; information’s, behaviorals, and incident reports.
· Provide communication to members of the Behavior Support team regarding any behavior requiring intervention.
· Responsible for monitoring the attendance of all students assigned to their class.
· Maintain classroom logs.
· Performs all duties as assigned. Attend all trainings provided by the school’s Principal for this position.
II. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Teacher Assistant Certificate
· Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.
· Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.
· Attending TCI class for certification/re-certification and passing a test upon completion of course is a minimum requirement for employment.
