The Early Childhood Teacher is a critical member of the Brightpoint Child & Family Center in Carpentersville team, using Head Start, Early Head Start, and Creative Curriculum® to enhance the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth of children through play and hands-on experiences. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will develop individualized lesson plans and meet with parents to support the best outcomes for your students. As an Early Childhood Education Center with COA accreditation and ExceleRate Gold Circle of Quality designation, you’ll be proud to be part of the Hoffman Child & Family team, and with our cohesive team style and supportive, high quality supervision, you’ll look forward to coming back each day. In addition, as a Early Childhood Teacher you will asses children and evaluate/document the results, supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, develop relationships with parents and families and maintain knowledge of therapeutic and educational approaches in Early education.  

Candidate qualifications:

Associate’s of Arts Degree Child Development or related field with eighteen (18) hours of Early Childhood Education credit required.  Gateways Early Childhood Education Level 4 and Infant Toddler Credentials required.  Strongly believe that social skills, self-regulation, and emotional development are just as important as reading and math readiness in successfully preparing children for kindergarten. A warm, open communication style and can easily build rapport with both children and adults. Enjoy working collaboratively with a team to reach shared goals.

Compensation: Range starts at $42,000, offers are commensurate with experience. Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, three scheduled weeks of paid time off per year (Spring, Summer, Winter), and additional flexible paid leave that accrues based on tenure; 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here). Location: Classroom setting (229 Lake Marian Rd.). Schedule: Full-time, salaried; center is open Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:30pm; assigned shifts will vary. Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
