Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza is seeking an experienced childcare teacher. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children by providing quality child care. This positions allows you to participate in the planned activities with the children and be an active participant in their care and education. If you have experience in planning and implementing age appropriate curriculum to children, this would be a great position for you to continue your career.
Responsibilities:
Provides basic child care
Interacts and communicates with children, parents, and other employees.
Plans and implements age appropriate lesson plans/curriculum while assessing and responding to the individual needs of the children
Teaches curriculum that is based on the theories of Project Construct and Creative Curriculum with the goal of kindergarten readiness
Provides a clean and well organized classroom.
Maintains a commitment and dedication to providing a safe learning environment for all children
Establishes and maintains effective, professional working relationships with parents and staff
Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and quality of work
Maintains flexibility in work assignments
Participates in state required in-service trainings
CPR and First Aid Certification required
We are looking for someone who is excited about actively interacting with children in their activities and has the ability to build strong relationships with parents, to maintain open communication. Being able to effectively communicate with parents on the children’s day and answer questions they may have is very important in this role.
