Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 7-Hr day, 10- Month School Calendar Year + Assist with instructing secondary students in Building Construction + Assist with monitoring student progress + Assist with maintaining discipline in the classroom and work sites + Manage and maintain supplies for construction projects + Ability to handle heavy lifting and willingness to work outside + Experience, willingness, and ability to work with secondary students in both classroom and various hands-on settings + Excellent communication skills and work ethic + Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, focus on error-free work, and follow up to ensure tasks are complete + Ability to work independently and seek assistance as needed + Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines + Carry out all other duties as assigned by the teacher and the Principal Job Qualifications Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification; must possess at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant Certificate; possession of the following certificates helpful Valid NYS Certification in Carpentry 7-12 + Extensive experience with Building Trades is required + Experience in residential home buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, and drywall + Experience with computers preferred Job Number: 069 CTE24/25
