Provides a high level of customer service to patients, families, visitors and employees to promote and supports the highest level of patient experience. Performs administrative and clerical duties to ensure efficient operational flow in their assigned department. Provides or assists with basic direct patient care activities under the supervision of an RN with technical skills specifically identified on applicable skills checklists for which training and competency have been established.

Demonstrates proficiency in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at an 8th grade level.Prior job experience with typing or computer training or equivalent coursework.Microsoft Office experience preferredOne year of recent, full-time patient care experience and/or customer service-related role. Additional education/training may substitute for some/all of the stated experience (i.e. mental health experience). Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience.Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.Physical Requirements:
Work requires finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department directors, physicians and other members of the Healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem-solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.Special Demands: Needs minimal sustained direction in assessing needs, directing staff and carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities.Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye/hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision.Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.Personal Protective Equipment:
