Job Description Position Summary Under general guidelines from Senior Management, the Shift Lead is responsible for management of all daily laboratory operations, environment and work processes. The Shift Lead will assume responsibility for the laboratory's compliance with standard operating procedures and interpretation of test results in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. Schedule:: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Job Responsibilities Responsible for managing daily operations of departments. Oversee safety, ergonomics, maintenance, and cleanliness of department (including upgrades, repairs, supplies needed, etc.) Oversee implementation of SOPs for Specimen Processing in accordance with company policy Oversee/Ensure all processing documentation is complete and reviewed as required. Ensure Specimen workflow from logistics meets the needs of the department. QA daily LIVE work for quality improvement (10 reqs per processor). Responsible for training or re-training staff on any changes/updates as guided by Management Report malfunctioning workstations to management for HELP tickets. Escalate any problems or questions to a supervisor and/or manager if needed. Any other functions delegated by management. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent At least two years team lead experience in fast paced clinical lab setting Computer skills, MS Office applications and Outlook. Medical or production background preferred The ability to effectively work with internal departments to resolve problems. Must have interpersonal skills and foster continuous improvements Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, and holidays, on call and long hours. Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and is able to manage client and employee concerns in a professional manner.
