Team Lead
**Job Title: Team Lead** **Location: Attleboro, MA** **Pay Range:$30 an hour** **What’s the Job?** The Sr. Production Lead is responsible for directly overseeing Team Leads Production Operators. The Sr. Lead will maintain accountability of all operators and drive metrics on safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and continuous improvements. This role also involves achieving production schedules in support of customer needs. Primary Responsibilities: Job Assignment Using CTB and/or Production Plan • Uses CTB or production plan (depending on the line) to assign jobs to qualified operator/s and maintains commitments in CTB • Reviews dispatch throughout workday, assigns jobs based on level of priority • To schedule overtime based on capacity demands • Scrap Rate must be reviewed and recorded daily, with RCCA for each event Safety: • Drive Safety Awareness and Improvements • All work performed using proper PPE • Conducts scheduled Stretch Exercises • Reports any possible hazards Operator Efficiency: • Review methods/procedures and recommend improvements to drive lean initiatives • Monitors time taken on jobs assigned to operators • Guides operators to assure jobs completed within allotted labor standards Labor Utilization: • With oversight of manager, ensure that all allocated labor hours are properly utilized for maximum efficiency • Ensure jobs are running as scheduled in the work cell • Identify bottlenecks and constraints within the cell • Ensure proper scheduling of resources based on capacity demands Operator Training: • Facilitiates operator training in conjunction with the Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer and/or Manager • Train and develop associates in skills, processes, and procedures required to effectively perform their jobs • Maintain authorized trainer list and cross-training matrix • Submits information on completed training actions Procedural Compliance: • Assures operators are following all documented work instructions and procedures • Maintain process standardization • Each area responsible for their Calibration Daily Build Plan Review: • Participates in review of daily build plan with lead employees, coordinates handoff of high priority jobs for timely completion • Reports and records issues related to Production, Quality and On Time Delivery • Ensure proper product delivery including escalation and resolution of high exposure items Shop Floor Management: • Continuously improve processes, and procedures, and eliminate waste • Check Manpower status and make any labor adjustments • Ensure Tier 1 start of shift meeting with team is held daily o Cover any status issues • Check the floor for any issues with o Manpower, Material, Machine, Methods • Lead Tier 2 Reviews with support team using standardized instructions • Monitor production status every two hours at a minimum o Complete production floor check sheets  Record issues with production  Note/Act on flow interrupters  Add issues to Daily management boards  Participate in daily meetings • Define and monitor Standard work/routings/Standard operating procedures for compliance o Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity  Reinforce and correct performance as needed • Conduct end of shift handover • Assist in set-ups and changeovers when necessary.
