Lead the Analog design team in terms staffing to support device / silicon design requirements and to meet design time scales as set by program scheduleEnsure regular contact and communication with relevant teams / people to support your objectivesAnalog design and technical leadership of integrated circuit development projectsHands-on block and top level design from specification to clean databaseDefine and interpret requirement specifications to achieve system and design strategy for audio-power management productsCommitment to top level chip verificationImprove Renesas power management capabilitiesRepresent the team towards the corporate engineering groupSupport the Group Manager / Director in planning and execution of projects and resource allocationMentor direct reports and review technical performance regularlyCoordination and representation of the design team towards the customerSpecification and design of CMOS/BCD power management circuits meeting performance, area, power and timescale constraintsLab evaluation and support for circuit blocks/whole ICsSupport DFT strategySupport test development and ramp to productionManage, guide and review circuit and block design and layoutPropose leading edge solutionsEnsure the entire team follows procedures and design practices that are required by internal guidelines as well as expected from any state of the art technology leader in the industryMain interface to corporate engineering for own teamAppraisals for direct-reports as agreed with Group Manager / Engineering DirectorSupport interview process for team membersConsulted as part of the weekly resource planning meeting, but the ultimate decision will always rest with Group Manager / Director of Engineering
Qualifications
Typically 6 to 10 years of electronics experience in one of the following areas: wireless handheld, specifically audio and power management; consumer displays; automotive body electronicsRecent hands-on experience in analog full custom designDetailed layout judgment and supervision capabilitiesExperience of designing switching converters, and controllers: Buck/Boost/Chargers. Linear regulators/chargers/fuel gauge IPProven track record of successful production ramp of productsExperience contributing to a successful team environmentConcise and proactive communication skills within a multi-site and multi-cultural environmentCommand of verbal and written EnglishGood communication/customer skills
