The role you’ll contribute:

Oversees the day to day operations of Patient Financial Services (PFS) assigned area to ensure effective control points are in place by protecting the financial standing of Florida Hospital. Monitors all encounters pending follow up with the appropriate departments, ensuring accuracy, and all claims and appeals are processed in designated time frame as determined by payor contract or department protocol. Ensures team success in meeting and exceeding accuracy and productivity goals set by PFS department. Specifically takes responsibility for patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores, meeting goals set by Florida Hospital and PFS department. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

· May be required to participate in conference calls, review accounts receivable reports, and/or create reports to compile issues in order to expedite resolution of accounts. Coordinating with Insurance payers to ensure proper reimbursement on patient encounters.

· Reviews quality assurance reports with appropriate Leadership and staff. Creates, prepares and updates various weekly and monthly reports as assigned by Management within specified time frame. Analyzes and reviews statistical reports when requested by Leadership.

· Responsible for examining and interpreting contracts to ensure patient accounts are properly reimbursed. Trends and reports any issues to leadership or as requested.

· Specifically takes responsibility for patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores, meeting goals set by Florida Hospital and PA/PFS department. Promotes an atmosphere of open communication for staff at all times. Assists Customer Service with Patient concerns/questions to ensure prompt and accurate resolution is achieved.

Qualifications

· A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
