Job in a Nutshell:

The Lead Order Puller is responsible for directing a team of 8-10 crew members and assisting with other warehouse tasks at the Natural Grocers Distribution Center.  This position ensures the bulk orders are pulled accurately, safely and efficiently, and ensures crew members complete required documentation and daily housekeeping duties.  The Lead Order Puller will assist with other tasks including, but not limited to, processing PO’s, receiving, and storage replenishment.  This position must maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to fellow team members.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

Receives daily store orders and distributes the workload to the order puller teamParticipates in pulling orders using an RF Scanner to locate and pull products, palletize, and prepare pallets for shipping teamResponsible for efficiently filling store orders, accurately labeling finished orders, and ensuring the crew has work completed on schedule and ready for the shipping crew.  Responsible for daily records of completed orders, ensuring documentation is accurate Ensures that all work areas are kept clean and free of debris. Pallet locations are to be down stacked and fronted properly while picking.Monitors efficiency and accuracy of order pulling crew by measuring speed and auditing for errors.Occasionally processes daily orders, prepares list prior to the crew’s arrival at start of shift.Performs all operations in a manner that promotes safetyAssists in training new employeesAssists in other warehouse tasks such as inventory, receiving, production staging, product put away, and product replenishment.

 

Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required2+ years of experience working in warehouse environment required1-2 years of experience in lead or supervisory role requiredAbility to read, write and speak English clearly and concisely is requiredPrevious forklift experience required and ability to be certified by NGVCHas good attention to detail; accuracy and thoroughness is a must. Ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environmentFlexibility with working hours to accommodate warehouse needsMust be reliable and on time every dayAble to work in seasonally warm or cool environmentAble to assist in other departments as needed Familiar with MS Excel and/or Data Entry is requiredMust have current Colorado Driver’s License

Environmental Requirements:

Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
