As a Mature Programs Producibility and Cost Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing Design Engineering expertise to support the T56 and Helo Engines. The Mature Program Engineering Team has both Design Engineers and Stress Analysts who collaborate to support delivery and safety. You will lead significant projects that have high impact in terms of safety and delivery. You will be a key interface between Operations and the Supply Chain on behalf of the T56 and Helo Engineering Team. You will be expected to be a DAR and MRB Approver. Your leadership will be influential in re-engineering the aging supply chain with new technologies like ALM.

The position operates under the hybrid work model. Weekly in person collaboration at the Meridian Center is required as is supporting the plant when needed. The team embraces flexibility and working from home throughout the week when it is most productive to do so.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead outsourced engineering resources and projects

Lead design changes that engage multiple engineering disciplines and other functions in the organization

Become a Technical Approver of DARs and MRB

Coach Early Career Design Engineers

Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Operations to prioritize and deliver key projects enabling ‘A Quality’ product to flow from our factories and to our customers

Provide support to SARs and Red Top Closures

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering OR;

A Masters degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering OR;

JD/PhD with 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

Engineering Technical Approver Experience

Proven Leadership completing design projects with complexity and high business impact.

Preferred Requirements:

System level engineering understanding

Experience using ANSYS to analyze gas turbine hardware and systems

Experience working with Operations and the Supply Chain

Ability to understand manufacturing engineering perspectives

Ability to make sound decisions with limited information

Experience designing part from clean sheet through test

Strong technical writing ability / experience

Design experience from multiple component areas (i.e. rotating wheels, structures, compressor vanes, etc.)
